Meet the patientMoon Team

Matthew Broude Founder & President
Matthew Broude

I started patientMoon in 2004 to help small businesses grow, operate more efficiently, and better serve their customers by designing and building custom websites and applications.

I got my personal start writing computer programs as a little kid in the late 80s, and began developing websites around 1994, creating sites for my schools and several small businesses through my graduation from Brandeis University in 2004. Alongside patientMoon’s growth over the last decade from my solo freelance practice to the team we are today, I bring the experience of eight years from 2004 through 2011 of building web applications in professional roles at XY.tv, a startup cable & online TV channel targeted at Gen X & Gen Y; Tufts University School of Medicine, where I built custom web applications used by thousands of applicants, staff, faculty and students; and Circles, a virtual concierge company, where I created applications to enable a team of 700+ concierge staff to service thousands of requests from our clients.

Since switching my full-time focus to patientMoon in January 2012, patientMoon has taken off, growing our team to 7 members, and expanding the family of wellness & fitness businesses we help succeed by taking care of all of their business strategy, website, social media, advertising and marketing needs.

Outside patientMoon, I’ve been practicing yoga (since 1997) and teaching yoga (since 2010), and enjoy kayaking on the Charles River in Boston, spending time with friends, and exploring the city by foot.

Lindsay Goodman Senior Marketing Director
Lindsay Goodman

I work with our clients as a project manager and content strategist. I keep everyone on task and the ball moving to help get your site up and keep your business running smoothly. I love helping provide real solutions for studios and instructors and putting all of my past experience to good use.

I came to patientMoon after working in the health and fitness industry for over 10 years – both on the holistic side at a community acupuncture clinic and at a high-end fitness club. And I’ve had the great fortune to teach yoga in the Boston area since 2007. All of this exposure to businesses large and small has really helped me to understand the nuances of how they run and what they need to achieve success.

In my minimal spare time I practice and teach the yoga, wander around my favourite city (Boston – not that there was ever a question), work as a doula, and dream of being less busy so I can own a puppy.

Kate Robinson Senior Marketing Director & Writer
Kate Robinson

I sweep in to save the day with writing and editing your site content to help get your message crystal clear for your students and clients. I also work on our patientMoon Marketing Tips Blog & Newsletter to help provide industry insight for your studio operations.

I received my MFA in writing and literature from Bennington and am the author of two chapbooks, Darling Angel Meat from Shoe Music Press, 2012, and Axial Hunt from Deathless Press, 2014. My work has appeared in Confrontation, The Tulane Review, Common Ground, Stymie, Ditch and The Midwest Quarterly, and I recently received my second fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center. I've also written for the Elephant Journal about recovery and trauma, yoga for larger bodies and other health and wellness industry issues.

I am also the author of Asana Boston's column "The Yogi Behind the Desk" and currently teach at All One Yoga in Boston.

Ryan Cunningham Business Strategist & MINDBODY Expert
Ryan Cunningham

I have been a Boston-based yoga educator for 7 years; teaching classes workshops and trainings in Boston and beyond. For the past 5 years I managed Back Bay Yoga Studio, helping to foster an exciting environment to practice and study — while also doing all the nitty-gritty backend work. During my tenure there, I learned what it takes to run a successful yoga studio, which led me to open my own small yoga studio in Somerville, MA early in 2016.

I am thrilled to be part of the patientMoon team as a Yoga Business Strategist and MINDBODY Expert.

Alexis Crawford Marketing Director
Tara Plocharczyk

With over 10 years of Digital Marketing experience Alexis Crawford brings both tactical and strategic digital marketing knowledge to patientMoon. She has built websites from the ground up and run a full social media training program for a 1,000+ employee company. Among her positions held have been Digital Marketing Specialist at Neolane and Director of Marketing at IBM.

Alexis earned her Bachelor of Science at Bentley University in Information Design and Corporate Communications and completed her Masters in Internet Marketing at Full Sail University. This has helped her gain the necessary tools to create a viable digital marketing strategy for selling, developing, and cultivating a brand.

Through organization and enthusiasm, she is able to show marketing isn't just about process and technology, it is about the passion behind the brand.

Alexis is currently studying to become a teacher of yoga and Ayurveda. On a silent retreat at Kripalu, she stumbled upon a class on Ayurveda and immediately felt the draw to heal people through alternative medicine. This encounter has spun her into many other areas of passion, including starting her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and certification in Yoga for Families of Addiction. One day she will open an Ayurvedic Wellness Center, with the goal of helping all to feel the balance between mind and body.

Ellie Hurd Marketing Assistant
Ellie Hurd

I'm thrilled to be a part of the patientMoon team as a Marketing Assistant. As a Communications and Asian Studies double major, I tend to approach marketing problems with a humanistic Buddhist philosophy. I strive to create value for others and to help them do the same. I help patientMoon run smoothly by drawing on my background as an executive assistant and from my time spent in journalism.

In my spare time, I enjoy learning Mandarin and running long distances.

Brittany Hayden IN MEMORIAM — Project & Marketing Manager
Brittany Hayden

After working in retail management for 6 years, I leapt into this role with both feet. My former positions equipped me with a particular aptitude for customer service and a vast knowledge of consumer relations – both of which I’m able to utilize on a daily basis. I am passionate about supporting both small and burgeoning wellness businesses, and helping them thrive. Being part of a team that works closely to help a diverse range of clients discover their path is deeply satisfying work. I love being able to help people help themselves, and I show up every day eager to make a difference.

I have a passion for rock climbing and traveling back and forth between Boston and New York City – one of my favorite gyms is Brooklyn Boulders which conveniently has locations in both cities. I’m devoted to maintaining a physical and mental wellness, learning with fervor about the beautiful world I live in, and keeping myself in good company.
